Did you know that water companies have to use energy to supply mains water to our homes?

We then use more energy heating it up for baths, showers and washing up. Using energy means that carbon dioxide emissions will be generated, which contributes to climate change. The Energy Saving Trust is concerned about water waste and as an energy saver we think you should be too.

Each person in the UK currently uses about 150 litres of water every day, which has been rising by 1% a year since 1930 and much of this is wasted, disappearing down the plughole as we brush our teeth or being flushed down the toilet.  If we all made some simple and quick changes in our homes, we could save loads of water. Why not pledge your support to our campaign, and we can advise you on small and simple changes which can make a big difference to your life.
